I posted in the linux forum because I thought I would need a bootable distro but they seem to think I need a windows repair disk. It has worked on Windows 8 so hopefully it works on 10. If your able to use Ubuntu just fine then chances are you might only have a corrupted Windows install which you can easily just reinstall by creating a Windows 10 bootable I've said this before on another thread.
