I have found that it tends to mess things up and it does stupid things. Solution which works well for me is to replace light-locker by xscreensaver: sudo apt-get uninstall light-locker sudo apt-get install xscreensaver If the problem on resume persists, enable screen lock when system Tab to highlight and Right Arrow to Device. At least for us Asus notebook users, the PC sets a flag that presumes touch-pointer operation and not use of a mouse or track pad.
