After trying *EVERYTHING* else I could find on the Internet, your registry hack really fixed the problems with: * Start Menu not opening * Calc/Store/other Win10 applications not running Login or Unfortunately you will have to wait for them with for a fix, but at least you have a workaround.This is a bug I've encountered EVERYWHERE since halfway this month on Windows http://metafliter.com/windows-10/metro-apps-dont-work.html

Yes. It seems to me that Microsoft first created Win 8 and Win 8 Pro and then created the Win 8 Pro Media pack. Thank you!!!! All the permissions had the correct setting.
daveo76 Interesting I never notice that. Thanks for the fix. It is unsafe and prevents Metro apps from working due to UAC policy settings applied to that account. they're not working.
