I looked at the old adapter and it was 3.42 amps at 19 volts (65 watts). the very first thing i did with it was wipe the harddrive and install XP with SP2.
Sorry I didn't post more info, but I was in a hurry when a wrote it. It powers off for no reason, and we have to do a battery pull/replace to get it to come back on. Normally laptop batteries are either bypassed, then charged through a different circuit or charged in conjunction with the introduction of AC power. OK, so what's going on?
